The night has arrived! Championship night at McInnish for LoneStar SSC softball was finally here and our playoff teams came ready to compete. The four playoff teams fought all season long to make it to the postseason for a chance at the crown. Our top two seeds stood tall during the regular season and that didn’t change tonight.
Run Forest Run and FBRD ran through the regular season with no problems, leading them to the championship game. In the regular season, Run Forest Run easily beat FBRD but something was different tonight. Run Forest Run was missing some of their top sluggers and that definitely showed. FBRD came out knocking in run after run while showing no mercy. Forest had no answer defensively and couldn’t get their bats going. FBRD avenged their regular season lost and captured the championship crown. Congrats to FBRD!
