Championship week! After a great season of soccer at McInnish, the playoffs are here. We had a lot of skilled teams, new and returning, which made this season very enjoyable and entertaining. Our four playoffs teams came ready to do whatever it takes to kick their way to a championship, and that’s exactly what they did.
In our first matchup, the #2 seed Balls Deep took on #3 seed Multiple Scorgasms, and multiple scorgasms were definitely occurring. Multiple Scorgasms put on a scoring clinic, running away with a 13-3 win to reach the championship game. Our #1 seed Wall Builders took on the #4 seed FC Tailgaters and handled their business, setting up a matchup with Multiple Scorgasms for the championship. The championship matchup was a game of missed opportunities and great defense. Each team had one goal at the end of regulation, ending in a shootout. Multiple Scorgasms’ female players led the way in the shootout, as they did during their first game, and scored them the win. Congrats to Multiple Scorgasms on the championship!
