The first night of soccer was flawless this evening as the weather was perfect and the pitch was top notch. While a few squads brought back players in bunches, most of the teams were out this evening feeling out their teammates and trying to establish some chemistry. Games were truly competitive throughout the night but none may have been better than the inaugural match between Balls Deep and About to Get Messi.
“The Battle of the Blues” was the opening game on this fine Wednesday evening on Field D as the Carrollton soccer league kicked off. Royal blue matched up conveniently with the sapphire colored team which made for a true battle to kick things off. Luckily some penny’s were found and teams went back and forth scoring one after another. It came down to the final minutes where Balls Deep snuck one in on the final minute of the game to pull out a late one. Kudos to them and best of luck to everyone moving forward.
