Games cruised by Monday evening as teams were pumped to play softball after a night of rain that scared many around the league. Players were checking their phones all day and once their LoneStar SSC app flashed green every knew, “It’s a Go!” Games were competitive all night but of course the best dish was served last. After the Thunder Buddies jumped out to a 12-0 lead after an inning and a half, most people considered this one to be a snooze fest. But there’s never a snoozer when you have Hardbats & Softballs!
Yep, the black shirted Hardbats and Softballs definitely deserve the crown this evening as they pulled off an incredible walk-off win. After getting blanked in the first inning they decided to wake up in the second inning. They eventually put up the 9 run limit in the second and down by 3 in the last inning, rallied back to score four in walk-off fashion with a single up the middle. Kudos to this group of pals as they were truly deserving of their tasty free pitcher at Buffalo Joe’s!
