Championship week! After the rain continued to postpone our Monday softball league, the weather finally cooperated with us to get the playoffs over with. Our teams were patient but were definitely ready to get out there to be crowned as Lonestar SSC champions. We had some familiar faces meet up in the championships, and that was Slapnut Magoos and Thunder Buddies.
These two teams have battled for the top seed all season long. After splitting the season series, Slapnut and Thunder were ready to be crowned as the best of the best. Slapnut started out hot, knocking in run after run as expected. Thunder Buddies just couldn’t get their bats going to compete with their nemesis. Slapnut Magoos finished off a dominant regular season with a championship! Congrats to Slapnut Magoos!
